Today I went to Hoboken to represent CrossFit South Brooklyn along with five others at the winter challenge. Good times. We were the “scrappy” team– all the other affiliates sent their strongest male members, but our strongest members were out of town for the holidays, so our team consisted of the likes of me, two women, a forty-year-old, and other sundry sorts. We rocked the house, coming in fourth place.
For the first preliminary events we had “individual” workouts. I was assigned to ‘two man fran’, where I was to do the pullups and someone else was to do the thrusters. Unfortunately our thruster was injured, otherwise we would have ruled that one and come in first.
Then we had the team event, which was a great time. The counter said that I personally probably did 120 pullups myself during the team event. So that’s 165 pullups for the day.
Tomorrow apparently we’re doing Cindy. If I can get 20 rounds in 20 minutes, that will be 265 pullups for the weekend. Rule.

You are a beast!!
Great great Job. Hey go easy on us 40 yr olds. With a little luck you’ll be here some day.

Hey, thanks Rob! I’m sorry you weren’t able to attend. The spectator rule were lame. I didn’t mean any offense by the 40 year old comment of course. I figure if I can get to the point of being half as fit as Charmel is now by the time I am 40, I will be so pleased.
