Back Squat 5-5-5-5-5

Squats and milk, bitches.

I’ve been drinking my milk lately, it’s been paying off. 35 pound PR on the 5 by 5 backsquat.

175/195/215/225/230f

CrossFit buddy Malcolm had posted a 226 score and I really wanted to beat it, but I decided that rather than doing 227 for my 4th round I’d just stick with 225. I didn’t want to jinx my effort with the ego of trying to win. So he still beat me by one pound. Curses!

That’s 20 pounds under my 1RM. I figure that means my 1RM is in the dust. We’ll see what happens next time it comes up.

Before the backsquats we did some split jerk practice. I hit some reps at 45, 75, 95, and 115. Good times.

Afterwards I got to watch Charmel and Juliana hit Grace. wow.
