<p>Blend with ice. Makes four blocks.</p>
<p>This smoothie is quite a departure from previous ones, as I have broken from the strawberry/blueberry mold. Of course I&#8217;ve used peach and pineapple before, but this smoothie, lacking the berries, and dominated by peach and apricote, is more of a stone fruit smoothie than a berry smoothie.</p>
<p>I have discovered that I need to cut down on my fruit intake, however. When shifting to the Zone I didn&#8217;t have much trouble because it said fruit can be had as your carb blocks. Further refinement of the diet into the more crossfit-focused paleo zone leads me to note that fruit intake should be minimized, because although fruit is still better than refined sugar, high fructose corn syrup, grains, or starch, it is still highly sugary. More veggies, less fruit. This will be a challenge. Particularly now that I&#8217;ve discovered this best smoothie ever recipe.</p>

<p>1 Peach<br />
1/2 c Blueberries<br />
1 c Strawberries<br />
1 c Fage 0% Yogurt<br />
1/2 oz dark (80%) chocolate</p>
<p>Blend with ice. Enjoy.</p>
<p>Makes three blocks. Depending on the amount of ice used, you&#8217;re looking at about 1 cup of smoothie per block. This smoothie is not quite as tart as the v1.0 smoothie.</p>

<p>5 oz <a href="https://www.freshdirect.com/quickshop/item_modify.jsp?skuCode=VAR0072845&amp;catId=rtc_tabla_entrees_rtc&amp;productId=var_ds_tabla_tkkthgh&amp;qsDeptId=rtc&amp;salesUnit=EA">Tabla Tikka-Marinated Chicken Thighs</a> (from FreshDirect)<br />
1 1/2 c onion<br />
2 c green and red bell peppers<br />
2 tomatoes diced<br />
1 cup pineapple, diced<br />
1 2/3 tsp olive oil<br />
curry powder<br />
ginger powder<br />
salt</p>
<p>In saute pan, heat oil, saute onion and peppers in spices. Add chicken, cook until done. lower heat. Add tomatoes, cook until mushy. Add pineapple, cook until warm. Add salt to taste.</p>
<p>Makes 5 blocks.</p>
<p>In related news, I was reminded upon seeing <a href="http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_RobbNutritionMultipliers.mov">this video of Robb Wolf</a> that I should be using an 0.7 multiplier for my block calculation. (My previous calculation was your typical goal-seeking excel-based approach. &#8220;I want to eat 15 blocks, so I will adjust the multiplier I use so that the answer comes out to 15!&#8221;) An 0.7 multiplier actually makes things pretty easy. You just divide your lean body mass by 10 to get your daily block prescription.</p>
<p>So I have as of yesterday dropped my block consumption down to 13 blocks from 15. That&#8217;s 3 3-block meals and 2 2-block snacks. This explains why the recipe is for 5 blocks (3 for me, 2 for girlfriend), compared with the previously-posted six block recipes.</p>
